Following on from the popular FOIA blog maintained by Steve Wood in England (http://foia.blogspot.com) it was felt that a blog was needed that would be specific to Scotland and which would cover the particular issues that concern Freedom of Information in Scotland.The main aim of this blog is to provide an informative online FOI resource for the people of Scotland. It will promote openness, transparency and accountability in every walk of life and it will also aim to maintain an objective stance in its reporting on FOI-related issues.
New items will be added over the next few days with details of the new rights that every Scottish citizen will be entitled to from 1st January 2005.
The information revolution is about to begin.
