Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act - Your new rights

The Scottish Information Commissioner is planning to release a booklet entitled “Your right to know – A Guide to Freedom of Information Law in Scotland”. It is being produced in association with the Scottish Consumer Council and is due for distribution to Council offices, public libraries and other locations towards the end of January. In February there will be a TV advertising campaign to raise awareness of the new rights under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

A one-page leaflet giving a general guide to the new rights is also being produced. Both the leaflet and the booklet will be available to download from the Commissioner's website.
