Ministerial car journeys to be made public

Details of Scottish ministerial car journeys are to be made public as part of a greater drive for open government.

Details are also being published of past ministerial engagements and these will be updated every six months.

The move was announced by Bruce Crawford, minister for parliamentary business, when he published a discussion paper raising the possibility of bringing more organisations within the scope of the Freedom of Information Act.
