Majority say no to congestion charge

Plans for congestion charges around Greenwich town centre are widely unpopular, according to public surveys.

The Association of British Drivers (ABD) has used the Freedom of Information Act to obtain the results of research carried out by Transport for London (TfL).

It shows that despite concern about traffic jams, a clear thumbs down was given to the introduction of a road pricing scheme similar to that adopted in central London.
