Trouble for M8 - roadworks for the next 13 years

A third of Scotland's busiest motorway is completely worn out due to chronic government underspending, according to a new report obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

Thereport states that only 12% of the M8 is in a satisfactory condition. The report by contractors Amey predicts up to 13 years of roadworks are required to bring the route up to an "acceptable standard".
