Government ministers and civil servants urged to have more confidence in FOI

Government ministers and civil servants should have more confidence in the Freedom of Information Act, a policy journal published today argues. Until Whitehall sheds its ‘prevailing culture of secrecy’ and recognizes that the public have a right to information relating to how they are governed, the Act will not fulfill its potential, the latest issue of Public Money & Management (PMM) claims.
