Awareness of FoI Act increasing slowly

New research carried out by the Information Commissioner's Office into the awareness of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 shows that more people are aware that the law exists, but they are not sure what right this gives to citizens.

Awareness of the Freedom of Information symbol also remains low at 5% and only 20% had heard of the Commissioner's Padlock, which alerts people that their information is being collected and directs them to sources, which will explain how it is being used.
