FOI Act forces publication of UK speed traps

In order to pre-empt hundreds of expected demands for information from drivers under the Freedom of Information Act, the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) has recommended to all chief constables that they publish the location of all 5000 speed trap cameras in the UK.

Motorists will also be informed of the revenue that each police force receives from the cameras. However "flash points" (the speed that triggers a camera) and the amounts raised by individual cameras will not be made available. Read the full article here:
