Assaults on staff in Scotland's schools rises by nearly 25%

Statistics obtained by the Conservative Party under Freedom of Information showed there were 2,768 incidents of physical violence against school staff in 2005-06.

The figures reveal a rise of assaults on staff in Scotland's schools of almost 25% from last year.
